wishing-well-pendant-2.jpg  This necklace was made with a little glass vessel that I purchased from Samma at http://www.posh-abilities.com/  I fell in love with her vessels and knew I had to come up with a special design so I have branched out to an entirely new technique.  This project was greatly influenced by the work of Magdalena Borejko, Eni Oken and Iza Malczyk three very wonderful jewelry artists whos work I have admired for a long time.

img_2449.jpg  rose-quartz-cab-ring.jpg  onyx-cab-ring.jpg  It took me a while and lots of wire to finally come up with this ring.  These things seem to hit me just as I am about to go to sleep so there was probably a couple hours of sleep lost on this one too. : D

Some recent doodles

img_2100.jpg   img_2096.jpg  Just a few pictures of things I have been working on in the past month but I’ve been too lazy to post the pictures.  Enjoy.

Silver Hoops

img_1421-upload.jpg This is a technique that I learned from the WAG magazine.  They are a good all-round earring that goes with most anything.

Goldfish

goldfish-upload.jpg The minute I saw this Crab Fire Agate bead I saw a goldfish.  After making this about ten times in my head this is what I came up with.  Hope you like it.

imprint-4.jpg This is a picture of the finished piece.

I promised myself that I would learn to make prong set rings while I was away at the cottage this summer.  These are not for sale as I have not perfected my technique yet.  This is just a preview of things to come.

Crazy Lace Agate

crazy-lace-agate-upload.jpg  This crazy lace agate is done in the sculpted style.  The rich yellow colour of this stone is almost uniform throughout.

labradorite-earrings-upload.jpg  These are a couple of beads I bought in Vancouver this spring.  Every bead on the string had wonderful colour.  I wish I had picked up more!!

Twisted Bracelet

imprint-3.jpg  I love this bracelet and have made it in several different colours.  This is just the first one that I have taken a picture of.

Lake Huron

This tells you where I would have liked to be this week in all this heat.  At the lake!!!  Unfortunately that could not be, so I made this necklace that has all the colours of the lake and the sparkle as well.  The focal piece is Aquamarine as are the chips and the beads are Labradorite

This is a variation on the sodalite bracelet and is actually the style that I taught last week.   I simplified it somewhat and I’m really happy with the way it turned out.  The soft colour makes it a very versatile piece for summer.

Fancy Fancy!!  This piece is for special occasions.  Picture it with a plain black dress.  I scour antique markets for necklaces and was fortunate enough to come up with some red crystals and that was the inspiration for this necklace.  I did also add some swarovski crystals to finish it off.  There are earrings to match.

Pink Heart Wrap

img_1072-upload.jpg  I was in a pink mood this week it seems.  I have always loved stone hearts and never been happy with the look of wrapping them around the outside so this is the technique that I have come up with.  This is also one of the classes that I offer.

Check out the tutorial for this piece.

carnelian-upload.jpg  I love the colour of this stone!!  All it needed was a very simple wrap to set it off.
